Here is the story of My Bag Hanger and how we came accross this genius accessory.

I  received my first bag hanger as a gift. A friend brought it back for me from Spain & I loved it. Every time I use it my friends would go crazy for it. Everyone loved the bag hook and everyone  wanted this special little hook for handbag.

I used it all  the time until I lost it :(

I went online to try find one, but had no idea of what it was called. I searched online for days. Using so many different  keywords on Google. I really searched for it everywhere Ebay, Yahoo.. But I could not find it anywhere. Is it a handbag holder? is it a Bag hooks? a hook to hang a handbag to a table? a hook for handbag? a purse hook? yes it is a purse hook in the USA! But I still had not find my bag hanger in the UK. Is it a handbag hook holder? a hooky? or could it be a handbag hanger? a bag hanger? A hanger for handbag? a hook bag hanger?

It is an accessory way too hard to find online if you don't know what it is called.

In Spain, it is a Culega bolso and they have a name for it Great! The cuelga bolsos are very popular in Spain.

It is really in 2007 that it sparkled, when I went to Paris and realised that

there were handbag hooks on a lot of tables in bars and cafes. I could not believe that the Cuelgabolso had travel to Paris to become a crochet pour sac. Then I read an article in the French Elle on the crochet pour sac and an other one in Marie Claire magazine . Next thing  the bag hanger  is  booming in Paris and you can see it on so many café's tables.

We decided to create My Bag Hanger to bring the bag hanger to the UK.   The first step was do a market research to find out what the fashionable women living in London would think about it. We interviewed 300 women in the streets of London and show them our hanger for handbag. We could not believe the positive answer we received on the handbag hooks! Women loved the handbag holder! 71% said that they would buy one for themselves or as a gift. So we decided to go for it! We created My Bag Hanger to sale Bag Hangers to English women. Finally, an accessory to help women keep their handbag safe and off dirty floors.

Then we went to see the London Metropolitan Police.  The Police loved the bag hangers and decided to purchase 2000 of them to distribute in the street to create awareness. The Police really believe that our bag hangers will help reduce crime.  

Why do women put their handbag on the floor when they are out? Because they don't know where to put it. If only they knew how disgusting their handbag really gets. There are tones of statistics and studies on the germs you can find on handbags. What about having your handbag stolen? On average we all had our handbag stolen or lost at least once. It cost us on average £250 of key cuts, ID's, cancelling credit cards , cash and let's not talk about the sadness of loosing a handbag we really like.
